How SwagCaddie finds and shows prices

4 min read · Updated October 2026

SwagCaddie is a free comparison tool. We don't sell anything and we don't process payments. Here is how the prices you see get there, and where the limits are.

Where the prices come from

When you search, SwagCaddie asks a shopping search service for current listings from many online stores. Each result shows the store, the price and a link. Opening a product shows the stores that carry that exact item, cheapest first, with shipping where the store reports it.

Because prices come from live listings, they can change between the moment you see them and the moment you check out. Always confirm the price and the shipping cost on the store's own page before you buy.

What the deal score and sale badges mean

  • Sale badges such as "25% off" compare a listing's current price with the original price the store shows. Stores set those original prices, so a badge is a hint, not a guarantee of a bargain.
  • The deal score compares the prices we found across stores for that product. A high score means the cheapest price is well below the others. It cannot tell you what the item sold for last year.
  • Price history builds up over time as people search. A product needs a few days of recorded prices before a chart appears.

Price alerts

Set a target price on a product and we email you when we see it at or below that price. Alerts need a free account. We check on a schedule, so a very short-lived price may be missed.

What the filters can and can't do

Search results carry a title and a price, not full specifications. Filters such as club type, audience or handedness work from words in the product title, so an item whose title leaves something out may not match. When you tick a filter, SwagCaddie searches again for it, so you see more than the first page.

How SwagCaddie earns money

Some links to stores are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, we may earn a commission from the store at no extra cost to you. Commissions do not change the prices you pay or the order we show stores in.

Before you buy: a short checklist

  • Check the total, including shipping and tax.
  • Check the condition: new, pre-owned or refurbished.
  • Check the details that matter for golf: hand, flex, loft, size and whether a club comes with its shaft and grip.
  • Check the return policy.
